Abby Horowitz, MFA Blog Contributor

Abby is currently living in Atlanta, by way of Ithaca, Portugal, Provincetown, New Hampshire, and, way back in the beginning, Albany, NY. She has a BA in English and Creative Writing from Dartmouth, and just finished an MA in Jewish Studies at Emory. Other recent endeavors include a year-long stay in Lisbon and a stint as a professional Jew. She's planning on applying for MFA programs in fiction this fall, and will be blogging about all those hopes, fears, and questions related thereto.

Hi Abby. This is a somewhat random comment, but I think we went to Albany High together. I'm Katie Stutzman and I graduated from AHS in '97. I'll be starting in the MFA program at Penn State this fall. I'm glad to see that you'll be a contributor here--this blog was invaluable to me during my application process. Best of luck!

what a riot! I definitely know who you are (my parents still live across the street from the other bunch of you Stutzmans, over on Holmes Dale). Congrats on Penn State! let me know how things go over there....

Well, abby, i think this page has become a billboard for friends who are looking for you. I graduated in '97 and am looking for a hand full of folks from those pre-internet days.

Hopefully you are the Abby I went to summer camp with over ten year ago. In any case, good luck with your MFA.

Best,
jen
