Steven J. McDermott is the author of the short story collection Winter of Different Directions, the bibliographer for the International Raymond Carver Society, and the editor of the literary journal STORYGLOSSIA. He received his MFA in Creative Writing (fiction) in 2001 from Antioch University Los Angeles. He's been through the mill, is fascinated by the industry MFAs have become, and despite all that, continues to build a life around writing.
