Gordon would like to start by confessing that he finds it awkward to write about himself in the third person...
I graduated from the University of San Francisco's MFA program in 2005. I have a full-time job writing and editing, and have the dubious distinction of being an unpublished fiction writer. Besides earning my MFA, I'm probably most proud of receiving a New California Media Award for reporting on issues of civil liberties back in 2003.
My own blog is called After the MFA. Seeing that I have two kids, live in New York City, am supposed to be writing short stories and novels, and sleep, I only post to my own site once a week or so. Yet, this and all my other creative pursuits are great sources of joy, frustration, and daily education.

man! I wanted to say that third person comment so badly. it makes you feel like you're applying to a Draino plant, or something.(not that that's not an honorable place to work...I've said too much)
