The OWL flies at Purdue!

I know this is not the only online writing lab service provided by a major University. This one caught my eye because it even specifies writing resources for grades seven through twelve. Also, calling it the OWL is pretty savvy on Purdue's part. Take a look at it here:http://owl.english.purdue.edu

It is very important for anyone to develop a writing a style and that comes only with resources and all sorts of handy gadgets that you have. That is what we are trying to do at A passion for Pens. http://www.apassionforpens.co.uk/

With a nice pen, you are better equiped.

Purdue is not the only online writing lab, but they were the first. Use Google to search for "MLA" and the first hit is the Purdue OWL.

Some departments/programs have decided against creating an online presence because, well, who's going to beat Purdue at this game?

Neil Armstrong did, in fact, go to Purdue.

"Ahead of the curve" means the OWL was launched in 1993, a few years before the rest of us were starting to hear about chat rooms, e-mail, and porn sites.

Muriel Harris was really a visionary in the writing lab field, and it helped that other Purdue scholars -- mad computer scientists, their hair careening toward the heavens -- were keyed in to the Internet as far back as the 1960's.
