Does Boston U have the only one year MFA in Creative Writing in the US?
What is your opinion on a one-year MFA? I have a job, and could possibly
get a one year leave of absence. To do a two year program I'd have to quit.
So far all the one year programs I have found are overseas.
Well first of all, Boston U is an M.A., not an MFA. I just looked through the MFA Handbook (albeit, while I was watching the World Cup), and the only other one year program I found is Milwaukee-Wisconsin, which is a one to two year M.A.
Thinking about your situation, WiW, it makes sense to apply. You can go for a year, get a degree, and see if you want to go on for an MFA elsewhere.
Otherwise, you might look into the many Low-Residency MFAs if you can't leave your job. I hope this is helpful.
Anyone else have thoughts about Boston University?

On BU's website, it says that they are, "a small, intensive one-year MFA program."
