Q & A with David Roderick
My good friend David Roderick is the winner of the APR/Honickman Prize, chosen by Robert Pinsky, and his great new poetry book, Blue Colonial, and was just published by The American Poetry Review and Copper Canyon Press.
How is this relevant to the MFA blog? Well, David's going to take questions this week from prospective MFAers, especially poets. You might ask him about poetry programs and workshops, writing contests, the publication and the career worlds. Whatever's on your mind. We'll post Dave's answers Monday through Friday next week.
So, check out his site, or buy Blue Colonial, and either way, send us a question, and please put "David Roderick" in the subject line so I can keep them separate from the regular mailbag. Don't forget your codename and to keep the question manageable.
David's publications include work in The Missouri Review, Prairie Schooner, TriQuarterly, Verse, and The Virginia Quarterly Review. I know him from both the University of Massachusetts and the Stegner Fellowship. He's currently the Kenan Visiting Writer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Thanks, and I look forward to the Q&A.
