Jennifer Lane, MFA Blog Contributor

Originally from Detroit, MI (all right, not Detroit, per se, but a suburb outside of it), Jenny came to New York to attend Sarah Lawrence College. Initially an actor and a fiction writer, she melded the two loves together and began to focus on playwriting. She graduated in the spring of 2006, and spent the two years following pursuing a career in the arts, working in such places as the Juilliard School and having productions and readings of several of her plays in the Off-Off Broadway theater scene. About a year ago, she decided she wanted to pursue her MFA in dramatic writing, and has her first class tomorrow at Columbia University's School of the Arts. She's very excited about it.

Though she hopes to make a career of dramatic writing (playwriting, screenwriting, teleplaywriting), Jenny has kept up a bit with her fiction and knows she has a novel in her somewhere. She's also a blogger, and you can read her writing-related musings at her blog: The Off-Center.

Jenny, you're hot -- and it looks like you've got a great pair of cans.

Good luck in class!
