Q: Hi Tom,
Do you know if, when MFA programs ask you to list your publications,
they're talking about publications in "real" magazines? I haven't been
published yet, but my work has appeared in the college literary
magazine. Does that count as a publication? Should I list it? Or is it
better to leave it all blank?

A: I would put anything on there. The college Lit Magazine is a good one... Honestly though, it doesn't matter too much. The Committee will either be a fan of a student's work or not. Rock on.
